Tourist Hunt

Dear students,

In few days, our school will hold a language test program called "Islamia Tourist Hunt". It will include two sessions: a tourist hunt session and a recreational session. It will be held at Kota Tua Jakarta. It will involve all the seventh grade students to find some tourists and make a short conversation with them. Don't forget to write some important information about the tourists in your worksheet. 

Islamia Tourist Hunt

During the hunting time, you need to pay attention to these things:

* greet the tourist friendly

* say simple things about the weather (the weather is nice, isn't it?), their accessories (your sunglasses is cool / your hat looks nice), the place (it's so crowded here, isn't it?), etc.

* introduce yourself and your aim

* ask for their favor to talk with you

* ask for simple things / opinions (their names and address, their coming to Indonesia, their favorite place/food/thing in Indonesia, their country, etc)

* say thanks for their favor

* say goodbye and wish a nice trip for them

Remember, please do not ask about the tourists' very personal life, such as: age or marriage.Try to ask about simple and public questions like about their country, their opinion about Indonesia, their hobbies, their opinion about your uniform, etc.

Finally, before you all go to Kota Tua, you need to practice to make conversations with your peers or teachers. In order to help you practice your speaking skill, you can download these files:

Afterward, please work in group to practice the example of conversation and try to find 'a tourist' around the school. You can greet your teachers in SDIT or SMPIT. In brief, have a nice practicing and hunting time! ^_^
